NEAT

I just have to give props to MizFit for her great post today about NEAT (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis). Check it out here. She has a little video where she talks about the benefits of doing activities that are not exercise-related (woo hoo for extra calorie burn!). While I usually try to do this, I thought it was a great reminder to us all, because in the summer, it should be (generally) easier to fit in extra activity here and there.

I left a comment stating that I would put a reminder on my computer monitor at work to assist me in my quest  to add more NEAT to my life, and here is the proof-positive that I'm a woman of my word. Plus, I've been bouncing my legs and feet all morning.

Also, here is a link from the Mayo Clinic web site, going into greater detail about NEAT (here's another article- a little older, but the same topic). So go out there and add some NEAT to your life!!

Yes! I love my Mac at work. I only wish I had one at home, but alas the Hubs plays online games, and therefore we have a PC.

By all means, steal away. Which reminds me, I've only downed 32 oz today, so I need to get up, get myself some NEAT, and fill my mug!

Great idea, and I love the Drink More Water, too.
