So here are the before and after shots (please note that I tried to make the before picture look as pathetic as possible- did I succeed? LOL)
BEFORE
AFTER
The dinner at Rodizio was amazing. I think the last time we ate there was Feb 29, the night before I started my 30-day bootcamp with Jillian- Making the Cut. It was so tasty. It's a lot of meat in one meal, but since we only go there about once or twice a year, I figure it's okay. And normally I just drink water at restaurants, but we had a coupon for a free drink and dessert, so I ordered a Brazilian lemonade (which is actually made with lime, and it has coconut milk in it- soooo good). We ended up sharing a flan for dessert.
The surprise afterward was a play called "Noises Off". It was quite funny. It's a British farce, and it's a play within a play. I was worried during the first act that I wouldn't be able to stay awake (the whole food coma thing along with a warm, dark theater), but luckily the laughter kept me awake. But I was definitely out late (until after 11:00 p.m.) so I used 2 hours of personal time Tuesday morning and went in to work at 9:00. Of course that made for a busy day, even just reading my emails took forever, but at least time went by fast. I had forgotten that Tuesday night I had a church activity (for the committee that I'm on), so I had to go straight there after work, and didn't get home until 8:45. And the Hubs didn't go to his game night with the boys, so I didn't have time to watch Biggest Loser or blog (since I spent the time with him before I went to bed). Hence no update Tuesday.
Last night we had an opportunity to get more stuff for our food storage, so we worked at the cannery from 7:00 until 8:30, then came home and watched Friday Night Lights (hooray for DirecTV!). My original plan was to hop on the elliptical as soon as I got home from work, while I watched Biggest Loser, but I was so exhausted that I could not bring myself to do it. So I laid on the futon, under the covers while I watched it. Then made dinner, and then went to the cannery. Hence, no update Wednesday.
But I couldn't wait any longer to clear the air (and hopefully not disappoint you all), so I made sure to post today. I have to stop here for now, since I'm heading out of work. I am going to run when I get home, but the Hubs plans to watch the football game tonight, so I should have time to add more updates.

Your hair looks great. I really like the color. My hair is super fine too, it caused me many trouble when I was little. I need to chop it, it is getting long, not as long as yours!
Your hair looks awesome! Mine is SOOOOO thin and fine i HATE IT!!!
YOU LOOK AMAZING.
can we have a slumber party and you do my hair?!
Ill paint your toenails and we can stay up all night if my husband is out of town!
D10- Thanks! I had issues when I was little, too, so I would always get it permed. I wouldn't dare perm it now (nor could I afford it).
Nicole- Thanks! I have a sister with fine hair, but hers is super thick (not like mine). So not fair. But she has a cowlick in the front, so I guess we can't have everything, LOL.
MizFit- Thank you! And of course I'll do your hair at a slumber party. I don't know about the staying up late- maybe if I have a nap. I'll bring the popcorn- you can sprinkle with protein powder, I'll sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
So very glam! I love the color. Happy you had a great birthday night out.
BEAUTIFUL! The color looks fab...and your hair is so LONG! WOW...yours is as long as mine is thick. I have the kind of hair where the stylist cuts more OUT of it than off the length - and I lose about 2 pounds with a cut lol. (feels like it anyway)
Sounds like you had a wonderful night out - love the dress color too!
The hair looks fantastic! I love how you made the other pic like blah then viola, glamour! LOL! sounded like a wonderful birthday evening!!
happy (late) birthday!
Your hair looks wonderful! I bet you're feeling that extra something looking so pretty :)
XCountry- Yes, glam is the perfect word. Thanks!
Cyndi- Thank you! Oh how would it be to have thick hair. And it's actually a shirt that I was wearing with a long, black, velvet skirt. I added a black cardigan sweater after the pic was taken (the color wouldn't have shown up too well over the black).
Viv- Thanks girl! Yes! I was successful in my before and after endeavor. The evening was fab.
Thank you, thank you, and yes, I was walking quite tall with that extra something. = )
I looooooooooove the darker color on you. I used to not dye my hair, but now I've been doing it for about a year. It's addictive. Watch out :)
Glad you had a nice time. Love the hair. I was expecting to see it cut.
I'm so in for popcorn!
Very pretty! I love how shiny coloring makes your hair look, too.
Hmmm...a blogger slumber party...sounds fun! And we can hot tub, too! lol...
Your hair is so long - I like the new color!!!
