You Say It's Your Birthday?

Yes peeps, today is the big day. I am one year into my thirties- and it's fabulous!! I took the day off from work (which I usually don't do on my b-day), and I went running this morning. It was about 40 degrees and raining. So I put on some warm-up pants, and my new running rain jacket and headed out. It was only drizzling until the last mile or so, and then it picked up. But by then I was plenty warm, and had even removed my gloves. I made it 4 miles, and did not have any knee pain. It's a birthday miracle!!

I had the Hubs take a picture of me when I got back. You might be able to see how wet the front of my pants are. My feet were very wet, too, from splashing water over the tops of my shoes. If anyone has any ideas of how to keep my feet dry in the rain, let me know. I'm pretty new at this whole running in the cold and wet thing. Well, I have to get out of here soon, because the Hubs and I have big plans. We're going to dinner at Rodizio Grill (mmmm, I love me a Brazilian meat fest), and after that is a surprise (he hasn't told me what we're doing yet). But I have to be dressed up (no jeans), so that narrows it down a bit. Anyway, I hope you're all enjoying your Monday- I know I sure am.
