Some Fabulous Bling

Wow, I am so honored that Kiki nominated me for a blog award. She has such a fantastic blog, and I love keeping up with her progress. She is such an inspiration- seriously, check out her pictures! And little does she know that I've been lurking on her blog for several months now (since Jan or Feb), long before I even started my own blog. So, here is the beautiful, sparkly award that I received. Isn't it fab?

So now I have the honor and privilege (and difficult decision) of nominating my own blog awards. I would love to nominate all of the blogs that I read, but that wouldn't leave much room for spreading the love now would it? Here are the nominees, in no particular order:

1)  Although she has already been nominated, C's blog was the first blog that I really started reading on a regular basis- clear back in January (she probably has no idea that I was lurking for that long). I found her blog from The Nest web site, and it was so genuine and motivating, I couldn't help but (silently) cheer her on. She has made excellent progress on WW and has also done C25k. And that's how I found Kiki's blog (sing it with me, "it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all...").
2)  Marcie has also been nominated, but I would like to nominate her back. I found her blog through Kiki (yes, let's sing again, shall we?), and I am continually amazed by her diligence and dedication. She joined WW last fall, and has been losing ever since. She is the model of uber-consistency! Check out the incredible weight-loss graph she has on her page- I am in awe. Plus, she has recently taken up running using the C25k program and she is doing amazing!
3)  Healthy Ashley has proven to be just that- a healthy girl, living a healthy life. She is a fellow pear, and I love to read all about her struggles with food (we both have a weakness for brownies). Somehow she always manages to come out on top. Plus she is a runner and also working toward a 10k (like me). Check out her super-fast time on her first 5k! Her Commandments are good advice for almost anyone, and she has some wild adventures (and her dog is super fashionable- ain't she cute?).
4)  Robin is like the older sister I never had. Seriously, we have a lot in common (more than just our pear shape and our taste in blog templates). She is one of my many Texas peeps, and one day I may just have to plan a trip so that we can meet. Robin found me through Ashley, although I'm sure I would have eventually "found" her. She is working on maintaining her weight loss while being a busy mom of 2 adorable kids (give her some sympathy, 'cause she's knee-deep in potty training right now).
5) Nan is a runner who is totally dedicated. I don't know how she fits it all in, because she always seems so busy. Plus, I am amazed at how her posts are so short, yet so informative.
6) Viv is another Texas peep, and she is so amazing that most of you probably already know her. She is a triathlete, and a new spinning instructor, and she has a mass following. I can only hope to be as famous as her someday, and to be as entertaining as well. This chica is super-funny, and she's not afraid to tell it like it is.
7) Carly is my Minnesota home-girl. She has recently been side-lined from running with an injury, but is staying fit by walking. What a trooper! She has great stories about the stuff she encounters and I just can't get enough. Keep it up.
8) Tammy is an amazing runner who races almost every weekend (how does she afford it?). She has an insane work schedule, but still manages to keep up her fitness. Unbelievable.

and last, but not least...

9)  P.O.M. is my running hero. She is training right now for the Portland Marathon, and she is doing fantastic. She works hard, plays hard, and runs hard. Plus, she is so witty and clever. Her postings always crack me up. And somehow she comes up with a song of the day, every single day. Now that's talent.

For those of you nominated, here's what you need to do...put the logo on your blog and link to the person you received your award from. Nominate at least 7 other blogs, and put links to those blogs on your site. Be sure to leave messages on the blogs you’ve nominated so they know about the award.

I really do love reading all of your blogs, and thank you so much for you comments. Now I'm off to spread the good news.

Oh, I will hopefully have time tonight to post the random pic. Plus, look for a new reader challenge to begin tomorrow (so check back!). I'm hoping it will be the motivation that I need, and also kind of fun in the process.
